Niger is once again bereaved by the violence of armed groups. This week, a double attack by suspected jihadists left 39 victims in the west of the country. Local authorities expressed their outrage and solidarity with the families of the victims. Military operations continue to track down and neutralize the perpetrators of these barbaric acts.
The Téra region, where the attack took place, has already been affected by jihadist violence in recent days. The neighboring countries of Burkina Faso and Mali, also led by military regimes, are also facing the same violence. The three countries decided to form a confederation to fight together against these armed groups.
