Thursday December 12: conference on the fighting at the crossroads of the Baraque de Fraiture-Manhay in the Manhay room at 7:30 p.m.

Friday December 13 : ceremony in the Sadzot woods at 1 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., ceremony in Lafosse on the crash of the B-24. At 3:45 p.m., parade of Manhay armored vehicles towards Grandmenil. At 8 p.m., musical evening under the big top.

At 3 p.m., “Tuppelo Boys” marquee show followed at 6 p.m. by the “Liejazz Big Band” show. At 8:30 p.m., musical evening.

Sunday December 15 : opening of the stock market to the public at 9 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., mass in the Grandmenil church. At 11 a.m., ceremony at the Grandmenil monument. At 12 p.m., tank demonstration then reconstruction & pyrotechnics show at 1 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., “Manhattan Dolls” musical entertainment.

All weekend : marquee, visit to the reconstituted camps, field hospital in the Grandmenil church and MHM44 museum.

Bastogne

Thursday December 12 : opening of the exhibition “Resistant women, 1936-1945” at the Cultural Center, at 6 p.m.

Friday December 13: accessible all weekend, the Bastogne War Museum hosts the reconstruction of a period military camp, conferences and workshops on deciphering codes, learning to read maps and radio transmissions. The 101st Airborne Museum, open all weekend, is hosting a military scholarship. At 8 p.m. in the Jean XXIII room, concert by the Volunteer Corps and Drums of the Liaison and Communication Troops Regiment.

Saturday December 14: perimeter walk from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., exhibition of Defense military equipment and vehicles on Place McAuliffe. At 1 p.m., patriotic parade in the Grand-Rue. At 3:30 p.m., the traditional throwing of nuts, in the presence of the king and queen. From 4:45 p.m. to 7 p.m., exhibition of vintage military vehicles on the Grand-Rue. At 6:30 p.m., religious tribute to the three executed in Bastogne.

The Bastogne War Museum obviously pulls out all the stops on Saturday too. It houses the same activities as on Friday, as well as testimonies from Belgian veterans, a survivor of a concentration camp (2 p.m.) and civilian and veteran witnesses (6 p.m.). Signing sessions are planned with actors from the series Band of Brothers and Masters of the Air, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Bastogne War Rooms will host the reconstruction of a military camp, a secret service post and a reconstruction of an HQ in the original cellars of McAuliffe’s headquarters from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also on Sunday.

At Bastogne Barracks, access to the exhibition hall, parade and dynamic demonstration of armored vehicles, baptisms and vehicle tours, militaria exchange, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also on Sunday.

The day will end with a sound and light show on the Mardasson site at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Bastogne hospital is ready to deal with all emergency situations during the Battle of the Bulge commemorations

Sunday December 15: Mass in tribute to those shot in the Noville church at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., ceremony in honor of US veterans, avenue de la Gare. At 12 p.m., parachute drop onto the Mardasson Memorial site. At 2 p.m., parade of vintage and modern military vehicles in the Grand-Rue and the Latin Quarter. If the weather permits, vintage fighter planes will fly over the Grand-Rue.

As for the Bastogne War Museum, it is organizing a signing session of American veterans in the morning and at 3 p.m., testimonies and signings from an actor and a producer from the Band of Brothers series, namely Alex Sabga-Brady and Ivan Schwarz .

Tuesday January 7 : conference “On January 7, 1945, in the middle of the Battle of the Ardennes, the mayor of La Roche-en-Ardenne, Jean Orban de Xivry was kidnapped by the Rexists” at the “Petite Strument”.

Saturday January 11 and Sunday January 12 : tribute to civilian victims and sponsoring cities, official ceremonies in the town and in La Roche-en-Ardenne, show and concert.
