“Ngaaka Blindé is dead, King Baba is born”, at the heart of the musical revolution

“Ngaaka is dead, Baba is born. » This sentence, uttered by the artist himself, created a real shock among his fans and in the music industry. This is not a simple name change, but a true artistic renaissance. Baba, the artist’s new alter ego, marks a bold turning point, both in his image and in his way of communicating.

For weeks, Baba has been intriguing. He announced that his album Secret 7 Vol. 2 was ready. This musical project, with new sounds and assumed diversity, promises to appeal to a wide audience. An accepted rupture: the death of Ngaaka Blindé

With this change, Baba declared the “death” of Ngaaka Blindé, his previous pseudonym. This stage name, which had taken him to the top of the charts, was associated with rap with gangsta accents, marked by clash and battle. Those days now seem to be over. Baba Ndiaye, whose real name is, is embarking on a new course. Some purists, nostalgic for his hardcore style, criticize him for moving away from his roots.

However, Baba is determined to redefine the rules of the game. This is not just a change of identity, but a true artistic reinvention. His new lease of life aims to renew his art, to push the limits of his creativity, and to attract a wider audience, in Senegal and internationally.

A bold and universal vision

In his own words, Secret 7 Vol. 2 will be an opus imbued with maturity and spirituality, with a strong dose of Africanity. “If the project is released, we will be able to take our music on the road, position ourselves on the African continent, or even on a global scale. Why don’t Senegalese artists access these spheres, when our music has potential? I’ll give it a try,” says Baba with determination.

It aims to go beyond Senegalese borders, targeting markets such as Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Guinea. This new impetus is for him a way of industrializing Senegalese music and breaking the glass ceiling which limits its influence abroad.
