Strengthening South-South cooperation

For the former minister, Africa must fully seize the opportunity of South-South cooperation, which has existed for almost 20 years and has made it possible to strengthen links between the countries of the continent. “Africa must be master of its future and its sovereignty,” he asserts. Indeed, faced with global challenges, Africa must be able to count on its own strengths and resources. “It is crucial that we protect this sovereignty by our own means, without allowing others to think and act for us,” he said.

Fahmi Said Ibrahim El Maceli remains convinced that Morocco is establishing itself as a model of leadership and cooperation in Africa. Also, the Kingdom is, according to him, a model of success for the continent and positions itself as a true continental leader. “Africa therefore has every interest in drawing inspiration from Morocco’s bold choices and strengthening its own capacities for cooperation and sovereignty to meet the major challenges that arise,” he concludes.
