Yellow alerts for slippery conditions and fog have been issued by the IRM until Friday 10 a.m. for the entire country.
The Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) has issued two yellow alerts for slippery conditions and fog. They both run until 10 a.m. this Friday morning.
“Tonight and Friday at dawn, frost could make the roads slippery locally. More isolated, a few patches of ice are not excluded“, specifies the MRI.
Regarding the fog: “Between the start of next night and Friday morning, fog (freezing) may form and limit visibility to less than 200 m.”
Weather forecast
This Friday morning, after a cold night, (freezing) fog and low clouds may still be present in certain regions and will gradually dissipate in the morning. In the afternoon, the weather will become quite sunny with a few high clouds.
The maxima will be between 2 and 4 degrees in Haute Ardenne and 6 or 7 degrees in Lower Belgium. The wind will be weak to sometimes moderate from the southeast.
This evening and tonight, the weather will be dry under partly cloudy skies. In the second part of the night, more clouds may be present over the northwest of the country. The minimums will oscillate between -3 degrees in Hautes-Fagnes and +2 or +3 degrees on the coast.
And this weekend?
On Saturday, it will be quite sunny with high and sometimes medium clouds. At the end of the day, cloudiness will become more abundant along the coast. The maxima will oscillate between 4 and 8 degrees under a weak to sometimes moderate southerly wind.
On Sunday, it will initially be quite sunny with a few more cloudy areas in the west. At the end of the afternoon or evening, the sky will become cloudy with a risk of localized showers. The maxima will vary from 4 to 8 degrees, under a weak to moderate southerly wind.
