In the Assembly, LFI fails to obtain a vote on the repeal of the pension reform

NARRATIVE – The obstruction of the “common base” slowed down the debates led by LFI within the framework of its parliamentary “niche” which ended Thursday evening at midnight.

Like a step back in time. This Thursday, the same actors replayed the same debates with the same arguments. All day long, they debated, in a real trench war, the repeal of the pension reform carried out a year and a half ago now by Élisabeth Borne. On the occasion of the parliamentary niche of La insoumise, Macronists and Mélenchonists have, as in February 2023, fiercely fought around the contested postponement of the retirement age, without the law being able to be voted, at the end of a day which ended Thursday evening at midnight, marked by strong tensions in the hemicycle.
