Work on the Arrowhead project before the next drilling

The Vancouver company deployed a specialized team to Arrowhead, made up of a geologist approved by Quebec and an assistant. The objective is to prepare for an upcoming drilling campaign.

This team will work to map access routes and identify drilling locations for at least 25 high-quality gold targets already identified in the region.

In addition, the team will also carry out scouting in areas likely to accommodate additional or alternative drilling sites.

Management reaction

The firm will take action as soon as possible. “This is an important step in Arrowhead’s progress as we await permit approval. This preparation will allow us to mobilize quickly and ensure we are ready to start drilling […] once permits are granted,” said Opawica Explorations CEO Blake Morgan.

The 25 drill targets were established in partnership with ALS GoldSpot Discoveries and Opawica. The team gathered various data, both recent and old, including geological, structural, alteration, mineralogical, geochemical and seismic information in 2D.

This deepens the understanding of the geology of Arrowhead. Analysis of this updated survey database led to the creation of a coherent 3D geological model, fault network and ore body model, serving as the foundation for an exploration strategy by drilling on the Arrowhead property.

Historical

The first prospections were launched in 1920 on the main shear zone, located in the northern part of the property.

In 1926, exploration efforts included prospecting, staking, trenching and diamond drilling, primarily to evaluate two shear zones hosting quartz-carbonate veins with free gold.

Gold grades reaching up to 45.05 g/t have been recorded over significant widths.

Opawica Explorations operates in mineral exploration focused on precious and base metals projects.
