Finally an agreement reached between the Dutch-speaking parties to form a Brussels government but Leisterh highlights a blockage around the table

Trainer David Leisterh reacted to this training. “This morning I brought together the French-speaking partners (MR, PS and Engagés) and the NL trainer who came to present her coalition including Groen, Vooruit, the VLD and the NVA. I must have noticed a blockage around the table to switch to a training phase with 7 parties. I will continue the consultations in close collaboration with the Dutch-speaking trainer. I invite all partners to show responsibility in the face of the scale of the political, institutional and budgetary crisis in Brussels. Emergencies for Brussels residents must be addressed without further delay“, declares the Brussels trainer.

Frédéric De Gucht, negotiator for Open Vld Brussels also reacts. “We are satisfied that an agreement has been reached on the Dutch-speaking side and hope to be able to quickly sit down at the table with our French-speaking colleagues. Open Vld Brussels did everything in its power to reach this agreement. The proposal to take charge of the government commissioner helped to unblock the situation. In such a difficult coalition formation, it is all the more necessary to have the courage to take responsibility“, he explains.
