Moustapha Cissé Lo, the former vice-president of the National Assembly and former ally of Macky Sall, recently made shocking revelations concerning his advice to the current president of Senegal. During an interview, Cissé Lo said he had advised Macky Sall against running for a third term and running in the legislative election as head of the Takku Wallu coalition list.
According to the former member of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), he advised Macky Sall not to pursue his candidacy for the presidency for a third term and suggested that he withdraw from the political scene.

“Macky Sall should not have been a candidate to be a deputy. I would never have recommended this. He should not be head of the Takku Wallu coalition list. I advised him not to try for a third term. And I told him that when he invited me to a ndogou at his house,” declared Moustapha Cissé Lo, visibly disappointed by the direction the current president’s policies are taking.
