The Togolese subsidiary of Axian Telecom has become Yas, like the group’s four other subsidiaries on the continent. Togocom, the global operator in Togo, has therefore become Yas Togo and displays an ambition which should allow it to rise to international standards, with a keen appetite for innovation in favor of young people.
In Lomé, Togocom announced with great fanfare its rebranding, almost simultaneously with the subsidiaries of Axian Telecom in Madagascar, Senegal, Tanzania, and the Comoros. For Togocom, which went under the Axian colors a few years ago, this new brand identity embodies dynamism and the start of an era of innovative services which will gradually change the customer experience.
Having innovative services is what the Togolese consumer wants, who also demands better price accessibility. The Managing Director of Yas Togo (now ex-Togocom), Antoine Legagneur reassured: “Yas reflects a desire to embody the spirit of a young Africa with its cultural wealth and diversity. This transformation goes beyond a simple name change to become a movement that values creativity and inclusion in the service of young people,” explained Antoine Legagneur. Yas Togo’s wish is to“evolve towards a brand that is more energetic, younger, more adapted to the expectations of young people in Africa today to be better connected”he added.
Mobile money too…
The name change of Togocom also impacts its Tmoney mobile money service, which becomes Mixx By Yas. Tmoney is also in the process of becoming an independent entity providing innovative financial solutions. The operator is taking steps with the BCEAO to “diversify the offers in order to meet international standards. » Yas Togo wants to bet on strengthening infrastructure, particularly in rural areas; with latest generation technologies. The new brand will also better integrate security challenges for the benefit of subscribers.
In Togo, Togocom, now Yas Togo, claims leadership in telecoms. The operator has regularly maintained that it wants to support the country’s vision of becoming a technological hub. Since the announcement of the new brand identity, consumers have stepped up to the plate and are demanding more quality and innovation from the operator. Yas Togo is therefore well informed!
