The wrestlers Siteu and Modou Lô, who were in competition last Sunday, were financially penalized by the National Management Committee (CNG) of wrestling. As usual, the athletes’ managers went to the CNG headquarters this Tuesday to collect the remainder of their fees.
Siteu, represented by his manager Max Mbargane, saw a deduction of 2,730,000 FCFA from his fee. According to the latter, this amount mainly results from the introduction of 10 liter bottles into the arena and a surplus of accompanying persons in the reserved space. Modou Lô, for his part, was not spared from the sanctions. The “King of the arenas” had to leave 2,030,000 FCFA in the CNG coffers. Among the reasons mentioned also include the introduction of bottles (1,250,000 FCFA) and penalties for excess accompanying persons, among other offenses. In total, the two wrestlers left a cumulative sum of 4,760,000 FCFA to the CNG. This amount demonstrates that, despite the renewal of the leadership of the body, the sanctions linked to the regulations remain strictly applied.
