Donald Trump's announcements scared the financial markets less than 24 hours after the announcement of the appointment of Scott Bessent as head of the American Treasury Department. However, last night, the new American president-elect confirmed that he wanted to increase, from the start of his mandate, customs duties on products coming from China, Canada and Mexico. For the last two, these should amount to 25% on all imported products. Likewise, for Chinese products, it provides for a customs tax, in addition to existing ones, of 10%.
