Big return of the Champions League for the 5th day of the league phase, and a first real turning point for most of the teams. For Stade Brestois, it was above all an opportunity to treat itself to a gala evening. After 3 wins and 1 draw, Brest faced the biggest chunk of its European campaign with a prestigious trip to Barcelona, to face the La Liga leader. Eric Roy's men entered the match well, and were even the first to prove dangerous, through Ajorque. But Marco Bizot decided to make the task easier for the Blaugrana, with a botched exit and a knee that hit the back of Lewandowski (9th). The Pole was responsible for converting the penalty (1-0, 10th).

Barça took matters into their own hands and completely controlled the ball, possession increasing to almost 80% in favor of the Catalans. The 3,000 Brest supporters who made the trip were still able to appreciate the quality of the toro on offer. Minus the permanent or almost constant fire in the area from Bizot, who did well with only 1 goal conceded. The second period started again with the same pattern, with Barça well ahead technically and Brestois who, although valiant, could not compete. The penalty fell in the 66th minute. On a cross from Gerard Martin, Dani Olmo had fun with Brendan Chardonnet and doubled the lead (2-0, 66th). Lewandowski closed the score at the end of the match (3-0, 90+2nd). An almost happy result as the Brestois suffered, logically, from the comparison.
Man City has scuttled itself again!
In the other matches of the evening, Arsenal strolled on the pitch of Sporting CP, who will quickly miss Ruben Amorim, who left for Manchester United. Undefeated until then in the Champions League, the Portuguese club sank at home against the Gunners (1-5), who quickly opened the scoring through Martinelli. Then Havertz took advantage of a superb service from Saka to double the score. Gabriel made it 3-0 with a header just before the break. If Inacio gave his team a slight hope, Saka took charge of extinguishing them with a penalty, after a foul obtained by Odegaard, and Trossard completed the massacre.

Manchester City once again proved that they were not in the best form of their lives, struggling to find the fault against a far from ridiculous Feyenoord. We had to wait for a penalty converted by Haaland at the end of the first period to free the Citizens. And it worked since Gündogan gave some breathing space from the start of the second period, before Haaland put his team away for good. But even 3-0 at home is not enough for Manchester City. Because Feyenoord managed to get back to 3-3 in less than 15 minutes, from the 75th to the 89th! A new disillusionment for the Citizens, who are definitely doing very badly.
Two other big victories this evening, with the ride of Atalanta Bergamo on the pitch of the Young Boys of Bern. De Ketelaere delighted with 3 assists and 2 goals, for a 6-1 victory. Bayer Leverkusen for its part rolled over Salzburg (4-0) with a twirling Wirtz and author of a double. Finally, Inter Milan narrowly won against RB Leipzig (1-0), thanks to a goal from De Vrij following a set piece. The German club therefore remains at 0 points with 5 defeats in 5 matches.
