Organized crime: searches in Pierreville and Sorel-Tracy
By: Jean-Philippe Morin
The National Squad for the Repression of Organized Crime (ENRCO) is currently carrying out searches for the manufacture of synthetic drugs in Pierreville and Sorel-Tracy.
The main search, which began early this morning of November 26, took place in a warehouse on rue Industrielle, in Pierreville. The police found what appears to be precursors used in the manufacture of synthetic drugs, and also hard crystals that could be found in methamphetamine and/or MDMA. Several tablets, ready for resale, were also seized. A duplex on Boulevard Fiset was also searched in Sorel-Tracy.
Remember that ENRCO’s mandate is to specifically attack the leaders of organized crime, including members in good standing of the Hells Angels, in all regions of Quebec.
ENRCO Montreal is made up of police officers from the Sûreté du Québec, the Montreal City Police Service, the Laval Police Service, OPP police officers and the RCMP.
A report on the searches should be published tomorrow, November 27.
