Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and her futuristic leather jacket by Giorgio Armani at Luxembourg Week

This weekend, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the contemporary fair Luxembourg Art Week. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a black leather jacket with a futuristic look, signed Giorgio Armani, to visit around ten Luxembourg galleries which were brought together for this 10th edition.

The 10th edition of Luxembourg Art Week at Glacis

From November 22 to 24, 2024, the 10th edition of Luxembourg Art Week took place. Nearly 80 Luxembourg and international galleries were represented at this major contemporary art fair which was held at Glacis, on the edge of the capital’s city center.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited Luxembourg Art Week this Sunday, on the last day of opening. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Éric Thill and Alex Reding, CEO and founder of the event. Several events, such as conferences, are organized alongside the fair and this year, a night was also on the program on Friday evening.

A Giorgio Armani leather jacket with a futuristic look and Hogan sneakers

For this outing on the theme of contemporary art, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa opted for a modern look. No heeled pumps, but sneakers for the sovereign. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a pair of blue and gray toned Hogans. These sneakers, sold for around 450 euros, have a thick platform sole. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa also wore an asymmetrical jacket with a futuristic look, made from leather strips. According to UFO No More, it would be a Giorgio Armani leather jacket, from its latest fall/winter 2024 collection. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa accessorized her outfit with a black Bottega Veneta clutch and gold jewelry from Ole Lynggaard.

The fair also brings together emerging galleries or initiatives led by the artists themselves, grouped in the Take Off section. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was able to visit around ten galleries. The sovereign’s wife was happy to see how this fair confirmed its success and which has established itself in just a few years as one of the major events for contemporary art in Europe. This two-faceted fair, explain the organizers: “on the one hand, it is a friendly fair that pays particular attention to the needs and expectations of exhibitors, and on the other hand it is a program of events offered in collaboration with institutions and national and international artists. »
