Surprise.
While we thought that the Canadian was looking more to cut guys than to bring them in (Patrik Laine and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard are getting healthy), the CH announced the recall of Joshua Roy.
Interesting…
Did the club choose to whip players to go on merit? Possibly, yes. After all, as I said this morning, the Quebecer deserves it apart from the way he plays.
He helps the Rocket win matches.
The CH therefore decided to stir its soup a bit in order to bring in a new ingredient. If Roy understood why he didn’t make the club at the start of the season and he improved, it could be dangerous.
And I mean that in a good way.
Note that his recall pushes CH to 23 players: 14 attackers, seven defenders and two goalkeepers. Who will join Michael Pezzetta in the stands tomorrow night? We wonder.
It should also be mentioned that Lucas Condotta was present in Brossard this morning. This means that he is not sent back to Laval. He should play tomorrow…otherwise, what’s the point of keeping him up there?
Note that the CH will have to move before bringing back an injured person (or injured people) in the coming days. In the short term, one could wonder what the news of the day meant for Rafael Harvey-Pinard. whose fitness stay had come to an end in Laval…
But ultimately, CH asked for a two-game extension so that he could stay down a little longer. This therefore buys time for the Canadian, who will have to bring HP and Patrik Laine (who practiced with a regular jersey this morning) back into the lineup shortly.
