Big Barometer: the impatience of the Belgians

More than 160 days after the elections, the federal government has not yet been formed and the Belgians are starting to find it long. For 70% of them, these negotiations take too long. This is one of the lessons of our Great Barometer.

Rback to the Palace. For the thirteenth time since the elections of June 9, Bart De Wever is expected at the King this Monday. The mission of the president of the N-VA should be extended. In all likelihood, the Arizona coalition partners (N-VA, MR, Engagés, CD&V, Vooruit) have been engaged in negotiations for a week finish.

Meanwhile, the Belgians are growing impatient. In our Big Ipsos Barometer – The evening – RTL Info – The Latest News – VTM, seven out of ten Belgians believe that the formation of the government takes too long. A government whose reins should be handed over to Bart De Wever – this is the most likely scenario at this stage. But almost one in two Walloons do not support Bart De Wever as Prime Minister. Even if, according to our Big Barometer, the Arizona scenario still seems to be the Belgians’ preference.
