South Africa. The ANC permanently expels Jacob Zuma

The expulsion of Jacob Zuma from the ANC, follows the decision of the party’s National Disciplinary Appeal Committee upholding Zuma’s earlier expulsion for establishing and leading the new Mukhonto weSizwe (MK) party.

“This decision reaffirms the historic party’s commitment to revolutionary morality, discipline and democratic centralism,” said ANC national spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri, adding that “Zuma’s behavior exemplifies the highest form of indiscipline and a direct attack on the historic mission of the ANC.”

Indeed, Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri explained that the selfless commitment to the national democratic revolution has undermined the unity and cohesion of the movement at a time when it is essential to consolidate and advance organizational renewal to face the challenges urgent issues facing South Africa.

“This serious violation of our organizational foundations necessitated the expulsion of the former President to preserve the integrity of the ANC and ensure that the unity of the organization remains in form and content,” he said. he declared.

The ANC officially severed ties with Zuma last July after the party’s national disciplinary committee (NDC) decided to expel him following a disciplinary hearing held on July 23 in his absence.
