Businessman Abo Mbacké, known under the pseudonym “Amir Abo”, was placed under arrest warrant for charges of fraud and money laundering. According to the newspaper Libération in its Monday edition, investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division (Dic), in charge of the case, made intriguing discoveries concerning the president of Stam Global Business.
The newspaper reveals that Abo Mbacké holds a Senegalese diplomatic passport bearing the number 21PD14881, issued on March 14, only ten days before the last presidential election.
During a search of his home located in Sicap Foire, investigators also found stickers bearing the words “His Excellency Amir Abo / Special Adviser to MBS”. The initials “MBS” refer to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman. However, Abo Mbacké had previously denied accusations that he presented himself as an advisor to the Saudi leader, allegations which take on another dimension with this discovery.
In addition, Amir Abo is the subject of three separate complaints. A certain MD Tall is demanding a sum of 100 million CFA francs from him, while the architect Pierre Goudiaby Atépa accuses him of an unpaid amount of 400 million CFA francs. Finally, the audiovisual group Gélongal accuses him of having ordered a film without finalizing the project.
