Sunday was marked by accumulations of snow in certain sectors of Quebec. Snow could still fall over the next few hours in several regions of the province, according to Environment Canada.
Here are the areas that were affected by snow accumulations during the day on Sunday, according to Environment Canada:
- Témiscouata – 12 cm
- Thetford Mines – 10 cm
- Saint-Basile – 5 to 10 cm
- Chibougamau – 7 cm
- Montmorency – 6 cm
- Bagotville – 5 cm
However, the snow would have melted in most of these places.
Snowflakes could fall in particular in Sherbrooke, Rimouski and Saguenay. The federal agency forecasts two to five centimeters of snow overnight from Sunday to Monday.

Rain will continue to fall in Gaspésie during the evening. Here are the rain accumulations noted by Environment Canada early Sunday evening:
- Cape of Hope: 85-90 mm
- Rivière-la-Madeleine: 63 mm
- Gasped: 47 mm
- New Carlisle: 30 mm
A hectic start to the week
The week is likely to be marked by clouds on Monday.
Environment Canada, however, issued a special bulletin to announce a cocktail of precipitation coming to southern Quebec on Tuesday.
Risks of freezing rain and accumulations of 5 cm of snow are in particular on the program. Greater Montreal, Outaouais and part of the Laurentians will be particularly affected.
