The launch of the services of these health establishments is part of the strengthening of health infrastructures in the southern provinces of the Kingdom, in accordance with the instructions of King Mohammed VI, relating to the launch of a deep and radical reform of the national health system. health, in order to support the implementation of the generalization of social protection and universal health coverage, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
These health centers aim to strengthen the provision of health care within the provinces of the Dakhla Oued Eddahab region, to bring health services closer to citizens to meet the growing demand for health care services, and to improve access and quality in health services, underlines the same source.
They also aim to improve reception and referral conditions, through the rehabilitation of a new generation of primary health care establishments, the first step in the care pathway and the main pillar of the implementation of the proximity policy adopted by the ministry, adds the press release.
These infrastructures will offer a diverse range of services for the benefit of a population estimated at nearly 59,000 inhabitants. These services include general medical consultations, nursing care, monitoring of chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, maternal and child health, dentistry, school health, health awareness and education, as well as epidemiological vigilance and mobile health.
