A test feared by the Misses. Like every year, the 30 contenders for the Miss France crown had to take a general knowledge test during their week-long preparation trip which took place this year in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). Since last year, candidates have had to face the dictation exercise to test their spelling and grammar as the first test of this very stressful test.
This year, the dictation marked on 6 points referred to Ivory Coast and Abidjan. The text was written by Sonia Salhi, a French teacher to whom we owe “Dictée pour tous”, on the themes of the ball and elegance. Spelling, syntax, grammar… Take the quiz and test your level in French to compare it to that of the Misses.
It was competition director Cindy Fabre who initiated this new event last year, judging that this exercise “is part of the values of our heritage”. Dictation is an exercise that should not be taken lightly, as it is part of the general knowledge test, the results of which count towards the final mark allowing them to qualify among the 15 best candidates.
