The Canadian Food Inspection Agency confirmed that another outbreak of avian flu was detected in Lotbinière near Quebec on Wednesday.
The discovery was made on a commercial poultry farm.
Another case was also reported in the city of Abbotsford in British Columbia.
A commercial poultry farm was also affected in the west of the country.
Both cases were reported on Wednesday.
Several cases
Earlier this week, a first case of avian flu since January was declared in a bird farm in Sainte-Hélène-de-Bagot, between Saint-Hyacinthe and Drummondville.
The next day, another outbreak was reported, this time on a farm in Montérégie affected by a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza.
Remember that the first Canadian woman infected with the avian flu virus was a young person from British Columbia whose state of health is currently considered critical.
The World Organization for Animal Health reminds that any farmer who suspects that one of their birds may be affected must inform the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Anyone who finds a sick or dead wild bird is also urged to contact the World Organization for Animal Health to report their discovery.
