The deputy government delegate in Valencia, José Rodriguez Jurado, welcomed, on Monday, the generosity and solidarity of HM King Mohammed VI with the victims of the floods which recently affected the Valencia region, southeast of Spain.
In a statement on the occasion of the arrival of a second logistical device, dispatched on the instructions of HM the King, to support relief efforts in areas affected by recent floods, the official affirmed that “the sending of this second convoy testifies to the generosity of HM the King and the solidarity of a friendly people.”
Underlining the importance of this new deployment to progress towards a return to normal in the affected areas, Mr. Rodriguez Jurado highlighted Morocco’s outpouring of empathy, which was manifested by the mobilization of equipment, of competent teams and valuable expertise, operating with remarkable intensity.
“The expertise and skills provided by Morocco through this reinforcement attest to an exceptional commitment to friendship and fraternity between the two peoples,” he continued, noting that these teams work without release “to help us overcome this ordeal”.
This support also demonstrates “exemplary collaboration” allowing significant progress, despite the scale of the efforts still necessary for a full recovery, concluded Mr. Rodriguez.
