Two development projects were launched on Monday November 18 on the occasion of the celebration of the 69th anniversary of Independence. They concern the 2nd tranche of the Nouaceur protection program against the flooding of the Bouskoura wadi and the development and rehabilitation of the main arteries and roads in Berrechid, in addition to public lighting and green spaces.
These projects, launched in the presence of the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Mohamed Mhidia and the President of the Council of the Casablanca-Settat region, Abdellatif Maâzouz, will require 149 million DH.
The work of the 2nd tranche of the Nouaceur protection program against the floods of the Bouskoura wadi concerns the construction of a pipeline with a length of 3,282 meters as well as eight engineering structures at a cost of more than 49 million DH (108 million DH for the two tranches). This project should be completed within a year.
An envelope of 100 million DH (90 million DH from the Regional Council and 10 million DH from the Municipality of Berrechid) will make it possible to rehabilitate the main access roads to Berrechid. This project will concern Boulevard Mohamed V, and access to Mils, Settat and Soualem, over a distance of 8 km. The work concerns, among other things, the repair and resurfacing of roads, the construction of rainwater drainage pipes, green spaces and even public lighting.
