Michel Polnareff releases a new single Sexcetera before an album and a tour

Michel Polnareff unveiled his new single with an evocative title, Sexcetera. Sweeping away the numerous speculations about his state of health, this piece is a hymn to tolerance. “I am for great sexual freedom, I respect all trends, I have no problem with that, I have proven it for a long time”Polnareff told TF1 on Monday, from the United States.

The 80-year-old singer also announced the release of a new album on February 28, 2025. A farewell tour will begin on April 3 at the Apollo Theater in London. It will pass through 23 cities from April to July, including the 49th^e Printemps de Bourges, Bordeaux, Brussels, Marseille, Lyon, Brest and the Décathlon Arena in Lille, the Accor Arena on June 14, before closing on July 12 in Toulon.

The Admiral always responds

Michel Polnareff's previous project, Polnareff sings Polnareffon which he covered some of his standards in stripped-down versions on the piano, dates back to 2022. In the process, the French singer did not allow himself any rest, launching the musical exhibition Polnarêvesan immersive show that he presented at the Théâtre Le Palace in Paris. He then began a Zéniths tour across France, reconnecting with his audience after seven years of absence.

Last April, a tribute album was released celebrating the singer's career. Once upon a time there was Polnareff. This project brought together big names from the French music scene, such as Indochine, Laurent Voulzy, Yael Naïm and Catherine Ringer, covering her emblematic titles. True to his humor, Polnareff reacted to X by declaring: « I want to reassure everyone who was worried about an album called Once upon a time there was Polnareff : the Admiral is still alive, just like me. His surprise appearance at the Citadel of Saint-Tropez on August 13, where he gave a performance on stage, won over his fans.
