Mr. Motsepe expressed, on this occasion, CAF’s thanks to HM King Mohamed VI, to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and its president, as well as to the Moroccan government and people for the organization of CAN-2025 Gentlemen and CAN-2024 Ladies.
For his part, the president of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaa, affirmed that CAN-2025 in Morocco will be “the best event to honor Africa”, noting that the Kingdom “will offer the best conditions to welcome the rest of the Africa and the world”.
In addition to CAN-2025, the CAF Executive Committee also announced the dates of the Women’s African Cup of Nations (CAN-2024), also scheduled for Morocco, from July 5 to 26, 2025.
“I am also impressed by the enormous growth of women’s football in Africa and I hope that the Morocco-2024 women’s CAN will be a huge success,” underlined Mr. Motsepe.
