There are confrontations that the coincidence of calendars only seems to bring about in decisive moments.
This is the case, in football, of the one between Switzerland and Serbia. Their first two meetings took place in the first rounds of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, when both teams absolutely had to win to maximize their chances of qualifying for the round of 16. Both times, Serbia led. Both times, Switzerland came back and won, in a context inflamed by the presence on the field of players of Kosovar origin.
