A podcast shared on the social network X, by the British newspaper The Times, suggests that Ukraine could potentially develop a nuclear weapon if American aid were to disappear after the election of Donald Trump.
“Ukraine is committed to the NPT [Traité sur la non-prolifération des armes nucléaires]. We do not possess, develop, or intend to acquire nuclear weapons. Ukraine works closely with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and is completely transparent in its controls, which exclude the use of nuclear materials for military purposes”, declared the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, this Wednesday, November 13, on his X account.
A statement in response to the British newspaper The Times which published a podcast called “The World” dedicated to analyzes on “global security”.

In this audio, the newspaper indicates that if aid to Ukraine were to end due to the election of Donald Trump during the last American presidential election, kyiv could develop its own nuclear weapon which would be almost similar to the “Fat Man” bomb which fell on the city of Nagazaki, Japan, on August 9, 1945, during the Second World War.
According to the Kyiv Post, to arrive at this supposition, the British newspaper relied on a report from the Army Research, Conversion and Disarmament Center. It would be a think tank on the defense of Ukraine.
