Three children aged two, 11 and 13 were found dead on Tuesday in France in a house located in the Alps and their depressed mother is wanted, we learned from the gendarmes. The children were discovered by the father who raised the alarm.
The victims were in a house in Taninges, a town in the department of Haute-Savoie, a few dozen kilometers from Switzerland. According to the daily, the man who discovered the bodies is the father of the youngest child.
Around sixty gendarmes and a helicopter are mobilized for the search, said a source close to the investigation. The three children had stab wounds, according to the French daily The Parisian.
Taninges is a commune of 3,500 inhabitants in the Giffre valley, approximately 50 kilometers east of Geneva. The Bonneville public prosecutor, responsible for this sector, visited the site but could not immediately be reached. According to the French Child Protection Observatory, 60 minors died violently within their families in 2022.
