Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association | 2024 SRNA Symposium on Rare Neuroimmune Diseases Highlights Collaborative Learning

On November 12, 2024, the Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association (SRNA) hosted the 2024 Rare Neuroimmune Disorders Symposium (RNDS) in Powell, Ohio, in person and virtually. The event brought together people affected by rare neuroimmune disorders, their families, caregivers and healthcare professionals. The symposium fostered an exchange of ideas, enriching understanding within the community.

Conference highlights included sessions on the diagnosis and treatment of rare neuroimmune disorders (NRDs) and discussions on managing symptoms such as neuropathic pain and spasticity. Small group sessions focused on the well-being of care partners and provided opportunities for interaction with clinician-scientists.

The event also marked SRNA’s 30th anniversary, celebrating the organization’s growth from an initiative supporting Sandy Siegel and his late wife Pauline, to a global entity advancing research and awareness in the field rare neuroimmune diseases.
