The director of the Geneva Home Support Institution (Imad), Maria Da Roxa, received 170,000 francs in compensation in June 2023 without the agreement of the Council of State.
-
The government requested reimbursement. Then Pierre Maudet thought the case was practically settled.
-
Time learned that the Imad and his director each challenged the proposed solution in court.
“The counters will be at zero,” affirmed Pierre Maudet on October 16 in the Geneva Tribune. The State Councilor referred to the case of the director of the Geneva Home Support Institution (Imad), Marie Da Roxa, who, in June 2023, received 170,000 francs in compensation from the board of directors of the subsidized entity, without the agreement of the Council of State, as provided for by law.
Through its president, Nathalie Fontanet, the government reacted strongly last July, upon taking note of the report on the remuneration of public establishments. The elected PLR, in charge of Finance and Human Resources, declared that these overpaid compensations had to be returned. The board of directors was “requested” to recover these funds, otherwise the State of Geneva reserved the possibility of taking legal action.
