The Head of Government is accompanied during his trip to participate in the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit, scheduled for Monday, November 11 at the invitation of Saudi Arabia, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans. residing abroad.
The Moroccan delegation notably includes Mohamed Aït Ouali, Moroccan ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Mustapha Mansouri, Moroccan ambassador to Saudi Arabia and permanent representative of Morocco to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation ( OCI), as well as diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had called for the holding of this Summit with a view to examining developments in the situation in the region, in light of the continuation of the Israeli war against Gaza and Lebanon, and its repercussions on the regional security and stability, as well as coordinating positions between member states.
This Summit, which follows on from the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit held on November 11, 2023 in Riyadh, was preceded by the preparatory ministerial meeting for the Extraordinary Summit, with the participation of Arab and Islamic member states, including Morocco.
