The City of Dakar inaugurated, on Wednesday November 6, 2024, an exhibition entitled “Everything changes and transforms”, in the gardens of the city hall. This event is part of the Dakar Régénération Verte (Dakar REVE) project, an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable urban development through participatory waste management. The project is a collaboration between the cities of Dakar and Milan, in partnership with a consortium made up of Senegalese and Italian organizations, such as the Polytechnic of Milan and the Reggio Children Foundation. The exhibition highlights efforts made to strengthen urban public services in the context of the climate transition.
The Dakar REVE project aims to transform the way in which citizens interact with waste management, by promoting a participatory and inclusive approach. This initiative is part of a broader vision of green regeneration, seeking to reconcile urban development and respect for the environment. During the event, visitors were able to discover interactive installations and innovative projects that contribute to improving the urban ecosystem of Dakar. An opportunity for local and international actors to share their experiences and solutions for a more sustainable future.
