If the vehicle is affected, owners should contact dealers of both brands as quickly as possible. The intervention, which consists of replacing the defective airbag, is free and lasts less than two hours.
This reminder comes while an investigation is still underway in Reunion following the death of a 39-year-old woman in September 2021, potentially linked to the explosion of a Takata airbag. Stellantis is facing criticism regarding its management of this matter and its late consideration of the dangerousness of these airbags.
