A 40-year-old Montrealer was stabbed in front of the Côte-Sainte-Catherine metro station, in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.
The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) was called around 10 p.m. for an assault that occurred at the entrance to the Côte-Sainte-Catherine metro station, near Victoria Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim injured in the upper body by a blunt object, according to police.
The forty-year-old was transported to a hospital for injuries that did not endanger his life, said SPVM spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils.

According to initial information, the attack took place during a conflict which degenerated between the victim and the suspect who knew each other.
After research, the 58-year-old suspect who fled after his crime was arrested in the area of Décarie Boulevard, near Bourret Avenue.
The fifty-year-old was met by SPVM investigators who were supposed to analyze the scene in order to shed light on this armed attack.
Attacks in front of the metro have become commonplace, to the point of arousing concern among STM constables, who consider it necessary to carry weapons.
On October 31, a 48-year-old man was attacked in front of the Papineau metro station and his attacker is still running.
