The host will be at the helm on ICI Télé from Gensses d’influence, a series of interviews in a format intended to be “as spectacular as it is unusual”. The eight thirty-minute episodes will be filmed from the Ferris wheel in Old Montreal. MC Gilles, real name Dave-Éric Ouellet, will receive personalities “who frankly address the privilege of influence”.

There will be no technical team in the cabin, in order to “maximize intimacy” between the host and the guest, - said.

A long-time columnist at Infoman, MC Gilles has participated in various radio shows on ICI Première since this summer. It can be heard in particular in the afternoon in There will always be culture with Émilie Perreault. He was previously associated with 98.5 FM, which fired him in April after 19 years of collaboration. In various interviews given to the media, MC Gilles maintained that he was leaving the station amid conflicts with Patrick Lagacé, with whom he was the co-host until last spring of the return show.

Since this fall, MC Gilles has also written a column in the regional dailies of the Coops de l’info.
