The new car market in Morocco is showing solid growth. At the end of October, the sector continued a notable upward trend, illustrating its dynamism and growing attractiveness. This is confirmed by the latest statistics from the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM).
The Moroccan new car market shows a positive result for the month of October 2024, with significant increases for both passenger vehicles and light utility vehicles. Precisely, the passenger vehicle segment recorded an increase of +14.94%, with 12,972 units sold in October 2024, compared to 11,286 units in October 2023. An increase which reflects growing consumer demand, supported by a offers varied models and attractive purchasing conditions.

As for light utility vehicles, the dynamic is even more marked, with an increase of +33.71%, representing 2,031 units sold in October 2024, compared to 1,519 units for the same month in 2023. This progression is explained by the growth of sectors such as logistics and services, requiring fleets of versatile and, above all, specialized vehicles.
By totaling these figures, overall sales for October 2024 reach 15,003 units, which represents an increase of +17.17% compared to the 12,805 units sold in October 2023. It must be said that this balance sheet reflects the current vitality of the market Moroccan automobile, reinforced by a favorable economic situation, the arrival of new brands and commercial initiatives of distributors, the objective consisting of capturing an ever more diversified clientele.

Regardless, the new vehicle market in Morocco shows positive dynamics overall. From January to October, cumulative sales reached 137,953 units, an increase of +5.94% compared to the same period in 2023, when 130,214 units were sold. As for the passenger vehicle segment (VP ), Dacia remains in the lead with a market share of 25.54%, which represents 31,365 new registrations at the end of October. Renault occupies second position with 18,613 units sold (15.15% market share), followed by Hyundai with 10,034 units (and 8.17% market share), according to AIVAM data.
In the light utility vehicle (LCV) segment, Renault maintains its leadership, with 3,611 units sold, or 23.86% market share, ahead of Ford, which sold 2,022 units (13.36%). Toyota completes the podium with 1,636 units sold, representing a market share of 10.81%. What about the premium segment? Audi dominates with a market share of 3.07% and 3,767 vehicles sold, closely followed by BMW (2.92% market share and 3,589 units) and Mercedes-Benz (1.99% market share with 2,439 units sold).
