SENEGAL-LEGISLATIVES-CAMPAIGN / In Kédougou, Mamadou Racine Sy promises to be the voice of retirees in the National Assembly – Senegalese Press Agency

Kédougou, Nov 4 (APS) – The head of the national list of the Alsar movement for the early legislative elections on November 17, Mamadou Racine Sy, made a commitment on Monday to continue to pay attention to the issue of retirees, if it is elected to the National Assembly.

“I will continue to raise my voice, especially when I am elected to the National Assembly, for the revaluation and significant increase of retirement pensions,” he said during a meeting he hosted in Kédougou (south-east), Monday.

He spoke in the presence of the president of the Action for the Development of Senegal movement, representatives of women’s groups and retired people.

“We have accomplished a colossal amount of work at the level of IPRES”, the Senegal Retirement Insurance Institution, “with incontestable achievements for the benefit of retirees”, said Mamadou Racine Sy, referring to his time at the head of the said institution.

He maintains that since his time at the head of the board of directors of IPRES, retirement pensions are no longer delayed.

The coordinator of the Alsar movement also announced financial support of 15 million CFA francs for the construction of the Gada Dinguéssou Plateau health post, in the town of Kédougou.

“I will give […] 15 million to the president of the Action Movement for the Development of Senegal and to the Network of Committed Women of Kédougou who wants to build a health post in Dinguéssou Plateau,” he promised.

“At the end of this meeting, I will also provide funding to all women’s groups in the Kédougou region because I have heard your grievances, and you are a vector of economic and social development,” he said. he added.

Mamadou Racine Sy called on the populations of Kédougou to vote massively for his list.

He also intends to raise the issue of employability of young people and women in the Kédougou region and Senegal in general..
