The sporting eventSurf casting, No kill» combines both sporting excellence and respect for the environment. By adopting the “No kill” rule, a practice consisting of returning captured fish to the water alive, this event contributes to the preservation of the region’s marine ecosystem.
The competition had two rounds: the first was open to national competitors with a view to qualifying for the final stages which saw the entry of foreigners.
Among the Ladies, the Moroccan Maria Benjelloun finished first with 679 points, with the capture of 15 fish, followed by the Tunisian Inès Ajmi and the Greek Conistantiou Ernie.
Among the Gentlemen, the prize went to the Italian Drive Zefferino with a score of 1,457 points and the capture of 32 fish, followed by the Turkish Ergan Hassan Kourchad with 1,108 points and the capture of 26 fish and the Moroccan Fethi Bouajjaj with a score of 1,034 points and the capture of 21 fish. Another distinction went to Moroccan Abdelaziz Lazrak who captured the largest fish, measuring 50 centimeters.
