Moustapha Diop, national head of the Farlu coalition, is committed to “correctly addressing the concerns of the populations of the Podor department, who according to him, “live in precariousness, despite the numerous hydro-agricultural potential of the area” .
“Podor is an area which has enormous land resources, abundant water and committed populations. At the National Assembly, we will properly address your concerns,” he told APS during a meeting held in Diaranguel, a village in the department of Podor.
According to the head of the national list of the Farlu coalition, the “wealth abounding in the area is essential to make agriculture a sector (…) which will drive the entire local economy and contribute greatly to the development of the country”.
“The problem linked to hydro-agricultural developments, the lack of infrastructure on Morphil Island, are among Podor’s many grievances,” said Mamadou Lamine Ba, head of the departmental list of the Farlu coalition.
