Sofyan Amrabat and Youssef En-Nesyri led Fenerbahçe to a thrilling victory over Trabzonspor, with a final score of 3 goals to 2, on Sunday (November 4) in the 11th day of the Turkish championship.
Amrabat stood out with a remarkable performance in midfield for Fenerbahçe, as did his compatriot Youssef En-Nesyri, who posed a constant threat to the opposition defense, narrowly missing out on scoring on several occasions.
The match was marked by many spectacular actions from both sides. The particularly in-form En-Nesyri saw his powerful strike blocked by the Trabzonspor goalkeeper in the 23rd minute, and contributed to teammate Ferdi’s opening goal in the 42nd minute, with an assist.
In the second half, the locals reversed the situation by scoring two goals thanks to Simon Banza in the 59th and 67th minutes. Fenerbahçe managed to equalize with a goal from Eden Džeko in the 75th minute.
While the match seemed to end with a parity score, Sofyan Amrabat managed to score a decisive goal at the very end of the match, thus giving Fenerbahçe a precious victory.
Thanks to this success, Fenerbahçe rises to second place with 23 points, five points behind Galatasaray, leader of the championship.
