For the second time in just over 24 hours, a service interruption caused confusion and frustration among Montreal metro users on Sunday morning.

The entire green line was hit by an outage, as was the entire blue line and part of the orange line. For the latter, it was between the Côte-Vertu and Rosemont stations that the service was interrupted.
This new major outage lasted almost an hour, before a return to normal was announced shortly before 7 a.m.
The STM indicated that server problems prevented it from supplying a large part of the network. A shuttle bus service was set up during the outage.
Like the outage that occurred Friday evening, metro users received very little information regarding the duration of the outage and the measures put in place to compensate for the service interruption.
Some of them expressed their dismay and frustration to TVA Nouvelles. Here are some of the testimonials we collected:
“It’s a little difficult because we have fixed schedules. We have to go to work at 8 a.m. and there we have to find alternatives.”
“I was going to work, so I’m waiting for my uncle who has to come pick me up to take me to work. It’s very restrictive.”
“I just finished a 13-hour shift. So, I’m a little tired and I can’t wait to go home.”
“It’s a little frustrating. It’s stopping me from going home now.”
“I just got off work. It’s 6:30 a.m., so I’m going to struggle a bit.”
