The prestigious title of top scorer international of the year could well come down to a Moroccan. In its ranking at the end of October, theIFFHS met Ayoub El Kaabi in pole position with 18 goals in international competitions. To establish the ranking, the IFFHS takes into account the goals scored in national teamin addition to the goals scored in the interclub competitions major. For El Kaabi, the total goals with Lions of the Atlas is 4, to which are added 14 goals scored in Conference League and in Europa League. The scorer of theOlympiakos is followed by Soufiane Rahimiauthor of 17 international goals, including 15 with Al Ain in Asian Champions League. The Moroccan duo is closely followed by the superstar of Bayern Munich, Harry Kane (15 goals), Qatari Akram Afif (14 goals) andIraqi Aymen Hussein (13 buts).
Unfortunately for Rahimi, theIFFHS does not take into account the matches of the football tournament of Olympic Games. Otherwise, the Moroccan international would not suffer from any competition for the title. Rahimi et El Kaabi will have the opportunity to widen the gap during the two matches played by the national team in November.
