Fifteen days after obtaining an absolute majority in Ninove, a week after having concluded a majority agreement in Ranst, Vlaams Belang is preparing to co-lead Iseghem, a municipality located between Bruges and Courtrai. As in Ranst, the Flemish far right benefited from local disagreements. As the candidate who received the most votes with Stip+, a list made up of independents and some members of the liberal Open VLD, Kurt Grymonprez explained that he had once considered forming a coalition with Vooruit-Groen and the CD&V. But the latter would ultimately have preferred to negotiate an agreement with the N-VA. And as these negotiations failed, the future mayor Grymonprez turned to Vlaams Belang…
