experienced its last day of high tides this Sunday, after five days with a coefficient greater than 100. With the wind and the gray sky, many tourists flocked along the coasts to savor the power of the crashing waves. on the dikes or venture onto the immense beaches at low tide. Two phenomena which must, however, encourage caution, remind the authorities.

On Saturday, a 45-year-old man was surprised by the rising waters in Saint-Lunaire, indicates Bleu Bretagne. He took refuge on a rock at Pointe du Bellefard, near La Fourberie beach, where firefighters rescued him in the early evening, when he was in a state of hypothermia.

At high tide too, danger is present. Several people were almost swept away by immense waves which hit Saint-Malo on Saturday evening, in the Rochebonne district. Fortunately none were injured, but a video is circulating on social networks showing the power of the waves.

The tidal coefficient was then 108. On Sunday morning, with a coefficient of 103, the waves of high tide were still invading the streets closest to the coast, as evidenced by other videos on X.
