Amazon just announced the launch of several Kindle models for 2024, including the very first Color Kindlethe Colorsoft Signature Edition. The range is rounded out with updates to the Kindle Scribe, Paperwhite and basic Kindle. E-readers that target different user profiles.
The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, for reading in color
The flagship model of this new range is the Kindle Colorsoft Signature EditionAmazon’s first color e-reader. Designed to provide a more vivid reading experience, it displays book covers and highlighted text in color. The device is also equipped with a feature to enlarge images without loss of quality and two color styles, standard and vibrant.
In addition to its ability to display color images, this Kindle is water-resistant, offers quick page turns, and has wireless charging. Its battery life can reach eight weeks, and it incorporates a new lighting system using nitride LEDs. Amazon describes the news Kindle Paperwhite as the “fastest Kindle” ever. The model, which is the best-selling in the Kindle range, now benefits from a larger 7-inch screen, while being thinner than previous generations. The tablet also comes with a battery life of up to three months and water resistance.

Finally, the entry-level model of the range Kindle returns with some improvements. This model weighs only 159 g and is equipped with a 300 ppi matte screen.
