MISCELLANEOUS FACTS – Forty years after the death of little Grégory, on October 16, 1984, Marie-Ange Laroche still feels the same emotion. The widow of Bernard Laroche, killed by Jean-Marie Villemin who judged him responsible for the death of her son, has forgotten nothing of her resentment. In an interview for BFMTV this Sunday, October 13, she even says that her anger is more intense today than a few years ago.

In the preface to a comic strip published at the beginning of October, Jean-Marie Villemin, whose public speech is rare, expressed his remorse about the assassination of Bernard Laroche. “I broke down, I took my cousin’s life. I will forever remain a murderer. I regret it so much. Revenge is not the solution »he writes.

Asked about these words this Sunday, Marie-Ange Laroche believes that “itIt’s not forty years later that we have regrets.” “We kidnapped a husband, a father, a grandfather,” she insists. “I don’t forgive. I could never forgive”she adds, as you can hear below.

“Bernard was a very nice person”

“It was a complete attack on Bernard,” she continues, adding that her children and grandchildren also suffer from the theories about the murder of little Grégory. “I am sure and I am convinced, it is not him, she proclaims, Bernard was a very kind person, he could never have hurt a child.”

Bernard Laroche was indicted in the affair of little Gregory in 1984, before being released a few months later, in February 1985. Jean-Marie Villemin, who believed that he was the murderer of his son and had announced her intention to kill him, took action at the end of March 1985, shooting him in the chest. He was sentenced to five years in prison, one of which was suspended.

Subsequently, Marie-Ange Laroche obtained the conviction of the State for “gross misconduct” in the death of her husband. “Marie-Ange Laroche is doing very badly. Since March 29, 1985, the date of the assassination of Bernard Laroche, she has never been able to mourn, since at regular intervals, there is a reopening (of the investigation) supposedly decisive and which shows fingering her husband as the possible culprit”declared his lawyer, Gérard Welzer, in a recent interview with AFP.

To this day, the murder of a little boy, whose body was found in Vologne, has still not been elucidated. In March 2024, at the request of Christine and Jean-Marie Villemin, the Court of Appeal decided to relaunch the investigation. New DNA comparisons must be carried out, as well as a feasibility study of vocal expertise of the raven recordings, thanks to recent technological advances.
