“I was very observant of their reunion, it was a very long shoot (editor’s note: she talks about the filming of1 in 2 chance by Patrice Leconte)4 months of filming, a lot of stunts that Jean-Paul obviously did himself, I don’t direct anymore today. Of course, I knew it was very special to tour with them, I knew it was a chance but I realize even more today how lucky it was to spend four months with them, to play with them who fight to get me. Comparing the two actors, Samuel Benchetrit’s wife adds: “Jean-Paul Belmondo was very surrounded, there were a lot of people around him, there was a lot of laughter all day long and Alain Delon was alone, alone with his dogs but when these two met again you could tell that they loved each other very much. They had a lot of tenderness for each other and they were happy to make this film together.”.
