A man was injured when his heavy vehicle ended up on its side on the A-20, near the exit leading to the Pierre-Laporte bridge, in Lévis.
Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) were called to the scene around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
The cab of the truck ended up in the ditch while the excavator it was carrying fell onto the roadway.

The driver was transported to a hospital to treat minor injuries, said Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Élizabeth Marquis.
The circumstances that led to this accident are still unknown.
Liquid spilled on the road and Urgence-Environnement was dispatched to the scene.
Highway 20 has been closed since 7:52 a.m. at the A-73 North exit to allow authorities to carry out their work.
Motorists wishing to go to the Pierre-Laporte bridge from Highway 20 West must therefore take a detour.
The Quebec Bridge is closed in both directions this weekend for renovations.
